It represents our flagship! It is a very flexible and rather rapid technology, which is increasingly used, since, with investments in equipment that are generally quite contained and often re-convertible, it allows to obtain metal objects. It is performed in our department on various types of machines: manual, semi-automatic and c.n.c .. The choice of process and suitable lathe is made according to the ordered lot, the complexity of the article and the tolerances required.
- Manual metal spinning
When craftsmanship becomes art! It is the method of metal spinning, sometimes tiring, but certainly very spectacular where you can see the high professionalism and manual skills of the streching-man, so called for the action of distension and gradual shaping that exerts on the sheet with the tools of the trade. The pieces obtained with this system, particularly suitable for small batches and for prototyping, are similar, never identical, and with medium-precise dimensions. On our four machines we can work up to 750 mm and a maximum thickness of 1.5 mm. - Semi-automatic metal spinning
Created to reduce the fatigue of the hand shooter and increase the efficiency during the shift, this mode is always performed by an operator who, expert in knowledge of the technique, using a control knob, moves the tools suitable for the gradual shaping of the slab: for each piece to be produced, all movements must be repeated. The pieces obtained with this system, particularly suitable for medium-small batches, are also similar to each other, hardly identical, and with fairly precise dimensions. On our three machines we can work up to 700 mm and a maximum thickness of 2.5 mm.
- C.n.c. metal spinning
Man has become a machine: this is the only way to obtain equal pieces with limited dimensional tolerances even on large production batches. In addition to technical knowledge, the operator under discussion must be able to manage the machine both in self-learning mode, by having all the machining parameters acquired by checking the first piece, or by programming, by writing the program in ISO code. On our two c.n.c. machines we can work up to 1250 diameter and a maximum thickness of 5 mm
